We are thrilled to announce that the first conference of the International Journal on Homelessness will be held on March 21-23, 2023, at DePaul University in Chicago. Hybrid attendance options will also be available.
The conference will convene up to 400 people representing diverse perspectives on addressing homelessness, from people with lived experience to practitioners to policymakers and researchers.
The conference will feature keynote speakers, panels, presentations, discussion forums, and optional local program site visits on the morning of the 21st and the morning of the 24th.
The conference sessions will be hosted at DePaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus in the Lincoln Park neighborhood of Chicago. Plenary sessions and all breakout sessions will be held in the Student Center, located at 2250 N. Sheffield Ave.
The conference is open to all disciplines and knowledge systems that target preventing and ending homelessness. As a global conference, presenters will want to tie their experience and research to larger debates and global expressions of homelessness research and experience.
For students, the agenda will feature a poster competition, a 3-minute thesis competition, a Conversation with the Editor(s) of IJOH, and a student social — including an online space for students to engage. Attending the conference will be an excellent opportunity for you to network with other researchers, academics, and leaders in the homelessness and housing sector.
